Abstract LVH is thickening of wall of heart's main pumping chamber. This thickened heart wall loses its elasticity and may result in elevation of pressure within heart and sometimes poor pumping action. The most common cause is high blood pressure. LVH can often be corrected by treating underlying problem causing heart to work too hard.
