Case-presentation: 'Hrid-dhamani-pratichayaja-daurbalya' {हृत्धमनीप्रतीचयज हृत्दौर्बल्य (CAD)} by Dr. D. C. Katoch

Here is a personal record of EF of a CAD with HT female patient aged 69 years, who is taking Ayurvedic treatment since April 2008 when her Echocardiography 

revealed only 24% EF- she was dyspnoeic and chest pain Grade II as per NYHA cardiac assessment criteria. Now the EF has improved to 50%, still I am looking to achieve more than 55%. Over the years she was given only Brihat Ela Churna and Haritakyadi Yog and last month due to extreme cold weather Hridyasav  has been added. All her biochemistry parameters including Lipid Profile, LFT, KFT, Thyroid Profile are normal except Low level of HDL- Cholesterol. With Ayurvedic medicines she could prevent attack of MI as well as CABG or Angioplasty. Jai Ayurved !

Happy Greetings dear Dr. Katoch, my patient of IHD with EF 35% in December 2008 and now 50% has provided all the reports. He was treated only with Ayurvedic medicines - Haritakyadi Churna and Brihat Ela churna and initially Nagarjunabhra Ras was also prescribed for almost 6 months. She could be prevented from allopathic interventions including even Angioplasty or Bypass surgery.

During health check up of Mrs......... on 11.10.2008 & 31.12.2008 at Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre / Hospital, New Delhi; LVEF was observed as 35%.

We were not only surprised, but shocked, as had never felt any problem in the past.

 Moreover we were told that it couldn't be  improved as there was no medicine e for this. It was indeed matter of great concern.

We then consulted Dr. Katoch for his opinion and advice in May, 2009. He was very kind and discussed in great detail with us. He assured us that it could be improved following his advice in respect of change in life style (Dos & Don'ts and food habits). Also, he would give us Ayurvedic medicine "Hardik". In addition, Badi Elaichi (Cardamom Large), Walnuts, Raisins, Munakka, Anjeer need to be consumed regularly.

In the test done on 23.07.2009; LVEF had improved to 40% (against 35% on 32.12.2008).

Since then, it has been between 40% and 45%.

In the last Echo test done on 23.12.2021, LVEF was 50%.

We are really thankful to Dr. Katoch for all above. Of course, taking Ayurvedic medicine "Hardik" reguarly since early 2009.

Above all, we all in the family now prefer to go for Ayurvedic treatment / medicines, whenever needed.

In Ayurveda, the description of Hridrog pertains to different manifestations of Ischemic Heart Disease resulted mainly from athererosclerosis of coronary arteries. Hridrog of Ayurveda includes Stable angina, Unstable angina, Prinzmetal angina, coronary insufficiency syndrome, Myocardial infarction, Ischemic Cardiomyopathy, Ischemic Arrythmia, Heart Failure as well as Cardiac block and cardiac arrest.

ये सर, मैथेमैटिक्स के हिसाब से 1 सूत्र है, जिसमे हम अलग अलग संख्या (दोष, गुणों, स्थानसंश्रय, हृदय का 1/1पार्ट्स) के मुताबिक सारे हृदय रोग की सम्प्राप्ति इससे बना सकते है,  उदाहरण के तौर पर

वायु/पित्त/कफ अपने कौन से गुणों से दूषित होकर रस को दूषित करके ...

मायोकार्डियम में जायेगा तो क्या होगा?

कोरोनरी arteries में जायेगा तो क्या होगा?

वाल्व में जायेगा तो क्या होगा ? SA NODE या AV NODE में जायेगा तो क्या होगा? सेप्टम में स्थानसंश्रय करके क्या कर सकता है ? वोही हम आयुर्वेदके हिसाब से देखे तो कैसे हृदरोग होगा ?

साधक पित्त को दूषित करके क्या करेगा ?

अवलम्बक कफ को दूषित करके क्या हो सकता है ?

प्राण या वाग्भट्ट के हिसाब से व्यान वायु का स्थान हृदय है, 

अष्ट बिंदु ओज में से कौन से बिंदु (यहां धातु ओ के कौन से तेज (कार्यकारी तत्व) को विकृत करेगा,

हृदय को चेतना का अधिष्ठान बताया है, तो मन/सत्व/ चेतन अंश को क्रोध, ईर्ष्या, दुःख जैसे भावों से किस तरह दूषित करके कोरोनरी spasm उत्पन्न कर सकते है? ....

ये सब सम्प्राप्ति सुश्रुत आचार्य ने

दूषयित्वा रसं दोषा: 

विगुणा हृदयं गता:

हृदि *बाधा* प्रकुर्वन्ति

हृदरोगं तं प्रचक्षते।।

ये श्लोक में बताया है

Honestly मुझे ECG का रीडिंग नही आता, किन्तु 

CAD, LVH, CCF,

VALVULAR,PUMPING FAILURE या EF कम होना

RHUMATIC HEART DISEASES को ट्रीट करने का चांस मिला है,बाकी मरीजो को आत्यायिक अवस्था मे REFER ही करना पड़ता है, फिर उपशय मिलने के बाद ही  आयुर्वेद चिकित्सा स्टार्ट करते है,

आज भावेश सर ने शराब छुड़ाने के लिए युक्ति चिकित्सा (आप दौरा धागा बांधकर डर बताकर) बताई वो काबिले तारीफ़ है,ओर हम ये युक्ति का उपयोग बाकी के रोगों में भी करेंगे, (धन्यवाद भावेश सर,💐💐)

वैसेही आप हृदय रोग के मरीजो को विषाद नही होने दोगे तो वो निश्चित ही  लाभ पायेगा (विषादों सर्व रोगाणाम), इमरजेंसी में मॉडर्न वालो के पास कब भेजना है ? कब नही ? ये ज्ञान है तो आयुर्वेदमे नए वैद्यो को कार्डियोलॉजिस्ट बनकर स्पेसिफिक चिकित्सक के तौर पर अपना नाम बनाने का गोल्डन चांस है, हा आयुर्वेदोक्त diet, ऋतुचर्या, सदवृत आदि की सलाह से  Preventive Cardiac diseases की शाखा खोल सकते है, हमारे india में बीमार लास्ट में ही डॉक्टर्स के पास आता है तो स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्यम रक्षणं के प्रयोजन आने वाले बहोत ही कम मिलते है, तो थोड़ा मुश्किल है, किन्तु काय संप्रदाय परिवार में आप्तजन जैसे
