Please guide me for the treatment of galactorrhoea.

Patient is 30 year old initially came to me for acne but having lactation in very less quantity.. for the last few days.

Having irregular menstrual cycle.

Serum prolactin level with in normal limit.

Patient is of avara satva.

I hv started treatment on the principles of dhatu updhatu Vridhi.....

Please give expert opinion.

Natural lactation stopped one year back.

Sir this is a case of lactation in non pregnant female but in less amount.

Galactorrhoea is the spontaneous flow of milk from the breast, unassociated with childbirth or nursing.

Elevated TSH, Prolactin levels should be assessed.  history of use of drugs like methyldopa, opioids, antipsychotics, serotonin reuptake inhibitors, as well as licorice (yasti madhu)  and for behavioral causes (stress, and breast and chest wall stimulation) should be assessed.

galactorrhoea is specially seen with the use of H2 receptor antagonist like cimetidine and anti-psychotic resperidone.

All these causes I hv ruled out

Only factor which is present is over stress.

Pt is not taking any medicine accept swambhu Guggulu for acne along with some local applications.

From Ayurveda perspective it is rasadhatu vikara.......... principles of Langhana, apatarpana and sneha pana and virechana will certainly help. Need to search appropriate samana ausadhi from Jwara chikista and pandu chikista as per the constitution and requirements of the patient....!

रसवाहीनि दुष्यन्ति चिन्त्यानां चातिचिन्तनात् !!          nidana of rasa vaha srotas as per charaka depicts the role of stress.....and diet.

"samasana" intake of pathya and apathya ahara...........which happens very freaquently these days due to the consumption of outside food should be avoided.  pranayama and yoga should help.

4gm Haritki + 20 ml Kumari swarasa BD empty stomach is sufficient 

Saraswataristam 20ml BD after food if Stress.

Stop milk and other stanayjanak bhojana only routine diet.

Regular exercise and Yoga

Wait for 30 days.
